For questions, feedback or problems, email strolls.app@gmail.com. We aim to review messages within three business days. Include your app version, iOS version and the steps that led to the issue. Please avoid sending precise locations, photos or other personal information beyond what is necessary.
Do I need an account?
No. Walks are stored on this iPhone.
How do I change the language?
English support is being prepared for version 1.1; the current public version 1.0 uses Japanese. Version 1.1 supports English and Japanese. In the iPhone Settings app, open Apps → Strolls → Language and choose your preferred language. If Language is not shown, add another language in General → Language & Region first. Strolls follows your preferred supported language and otherwise uses English. Your own titles, labels and photo captions are kept as written.
Will recording continue with the screen off?
Allow location access Always to record in the background. With While Using the App permission, parts of the route may not be recorded when the screen is off.
Can I use Strolls without location access?
Yes. You can save the time and photos available for your walk, without a GPS route or distance.
Where are my steps?
Allow Motion & Fitness access for Strolls in iOS Settings. If step data is unavailable, Strolls estimates steps from distance and marks the number with “~”.
Where are photos saved?
Strolls makes app-managed copies of photos you take or select. Images larger than 2048 pixels on the longest side are resized. With permission, original photos taken in Strolls are also saved to your photo library. Denying that permission does not prevent keeping the photo with your walk.
How do I delete a walk?
Open its card in Memories and choose Delete Walk. It disappears from the app and cannot be restored there. This is logical deletion: underlying local records and app-managed photo copies remain until Strolls is uninstalled. Original photos in your photo library are not deleted.
Could a shared card reveal my home?
A shared image may include your route and photo locations. Review it before sharing, especially if you started or finished near home or work.
Why is the map unavailable?
Maps are downloaded from OpenFreeMap and need a network connection. You can keep recording without a visible map. Try again after connectivity returns.
Can I transfer my data?
There is no in-app migration or cloud sync. A full iPhone backup may include your local data, depending on iOS backup settings.
Can I use miles?
Distances currently use meters and kilometers in both languages.
